One weekend, I stopped by a fabric shop in Oakland that I read about:

The place is small, a mess and nothing is labeled, but there’s tons of fabrics…
ALL for $2.00/yard (half yard minimum). Cash only.
I was looking for 100% cotton fabric, but couldn’t find any. Many of the fabrics were soft elastic… probably polyester/cotton blends. They did have a lot of pin strip stretchy fabrics.
I asked the owner if I can take pictures to show people and he said to go ahead. So above are some of the fabrics at the store.
